Sinsheng Elementary School has a history spanning over six decades. It is located in the culturally, historically, and naturally rich area of Guye Village in Xinying District. In 1961, local gentry in Guye, valuing the education of their children, collectively donated land and funds to establish this local school.
According to legend, Guye Village is named after Zheng Chenggong's sister, Zheng Wan-shi, who married Yang Ruilian from this area. Since Zheng Chenggong was a prince, his brother-in-law was called "Guye," which became the name of the village.
The village boasts several ancient sites worth visiting, including old houses, wells, and banyan trees. A notable old house in Wazi belongs to Mr. Chen Chaokuan, a prominent figure in Xinying. The main religious centers in the village include Da Tien Temple in the Guye community, Chaolong Temple in the Wazi community, Sanzitan in the Citongjiao community, and Bao'an Temple in the Jiao Dai Wei community.
